Set up Admin Console Access

After you have installed PrinterLogic, you can set up your login credentials to access to Admin Console.

Admin Console User Accounts

A user account provides a user with credentials to log in to the Admin Console. The root account user, once they have set up their login credentials, creates additional user accounts for others.

Set Up a Root User Account

Be sure to use any supported browser when logging in to the Admin Console.

The URL format required is FQDN/admin where the FQDN is server name.domainname. For example,

  1. In the login screen, click anywhere in the Admin Username field and type the username of an authorized Admin Console administrator.
  2. In the Email Address field, type the email address the system will associate to the username. The email address is used for features like password recovery and alerts.
  3. Create a password for the administrator to access the Admin Console. The password must be at least eight characters long and contain one number.
  4. Click Create and Log In.

Log in to the Admin Console

  1. Open your preferred browser.
  2. In the Address bar, enter the following information.

    <Server Name><Fully Qualified Domain Name>/admin

The following image shows the login path as it should appear in the browser's Address bar.

  3. Click <ENTER> on your keyboard.
  4. View the License Agreement, check the Agreement box, and Submit the Service Agreement.

  5. The Admin Console will open as shown below.

Reset Password

If you forget your Admin Console password, you can request a password reset link, which the system will send to you via email. You do not need to enter your username. Just click the Lost Password link to begin the password reset process.

In the Forgot Password window, enter the email address associated with the user account used to log in to the Admin Console.

Click Reset Password to search for a matching email address. If one is found, a password reset link is sent to the email address. Click the link in the email to enter a new password. Any login attempt thereafter requires the new password.

Additional Users

There are three types of accounts the root account can create, including Active Directory users, PrinterLogic users, and LDAP users. For more details about user accounts and permissions see Admin Console User Accounts
