Supported Servers

NOTE: When provisioning a server, make sure to pre-install or add .Net 4.5.2 and the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable (PrinterLogic supports the 2008, 2012, and 2015 Redistributable).

  • Two 2.0 GHz processors or one 2.0 dual-core processor for up to 15,000 users (add a core for every additional 15,000 users)

  • 20GB free hard disk space (add 4GB for every 100 printers)

NOTE: For the client to function correctly on Windows 7, you must be running Service Pack 1. Additionally, update KB4474419 must be installed. For more information, refer to Windows documentation.

NOTE: PrinterLogic also supports customized driver selections for Citrix servers running on any supported OS.

The Admin Console interface displays a list of the supported operating systems in Tools > Settings > General, as shown below.

NOTE: Client workstations must have hardware capable of running the operating system with 30MB free hard disk space for the client installation. Additional space for print drivers being installed may be required as well.

Konica-Minolta Konica-Minolta printers use port 443 for general communication, but is user-customizable and defaults to 50003 for installation and Single Sign-on.

Other

  • Importing Windows Printers: The ability to import printers from Windows print servers requires Administrator rights to the print server and the ability to connect to administrative shares (Admin$) on the print server. Network ports that must be open between the print server and the importing computer include: TCP ports 80, 139, 445; UDP ports 137, 138.
  • Importing Novell Printers: The ability to import printers from Novell print servers requires Administrator rights to the Novell tree. Network ports that must be open between the print server and the importing computer include: TCP ports 80, 3396, 3014.
